Political Row: Nishant Kumar Set to Enter Politics by Joining Janata Dal (United)

A major political development is unfolding in the state of Bihar, as Nishant Kumar, the son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is set to formally enter politics by joining the Janata Dal (United). This move is being described as the beginning of a new chapter in Bihar’s political landscape. Nishant Kumar, who has largely stayed away from public life and politics until now, is expected to take membership in JD(U) at the party headquarters in Patna. Supporters have even demanded that he be considered for major leadership roles, including the possibility of becoming the future Chief Minister of Bihar. At the same time, opposition parties have raised questions about dynastic politics, noting that Nitish Kumar had previously criticized political families—particularly those associated with Lalu Prasad Yadav—for promoting family members in politics.
