Hansal Mehta lauds Radhikka’s performance in ‘Subedaar’

Hansal Mehta lauds Radhikka Madan’s performance in 'Subedaar'; says, actress deserves better roles in Indian cinema

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has expressed admiration for the recently released film ‘Subedaar’. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the action drama has received attention for its intense storyline and performances. The director described the film as a bold and refreshing take on the traditional mass entertainer, also praising the writing and performances that bring emotional depth to the story.

Special praise for Radhikka Madan

As reported by Mid Day, Hansal Mehta had special appreciation for Radhikka Madan who plays the role of Shyama, the daughter of Anil Kapoor’s character in the film. According to the filmmaker, Madan’s performance stands out because of the emotional complexity she brings to the character. He also noted that the actress deserves stronger opportunities in the industry.Hansal Mehta said, “Radhikka Madan deserves better than what our cinema has given her so far, better parts, better films, more opportunities. As the feisty but internally wounded daughter, she does not shy away from ugliness in service of her character. That is courage. That is craft.”

The story and setting of ‘Subedaar’

‘Subedaar’ is about the life of Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier and the narrative also shows the complicated relationship between Arjun and his daughter Shyama.

Shah Rukh Khan applauds the film

The film has also received appreciation from superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actor recently shared his thoughts on social media after watching the film. In his message, Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged several members of the ensemble cast. He wrote, “#AdityaRawal, #SaurabhShukla, #MonaSingh, #FaisalMalik, #RadhikaMadan – each character was crafted uniquely and all of u put on such a great performance. Well done #SureshTriveni and the entire team… lots of love.”’Subedaar’ stars Anil Kapoor in the lead role. It also features Radhikka Madan, Aditya Rawal, Mona Singh, Faisal Malik, and Saurabh Shukla in important roles.
