Javed Akhtar drops update on Salim Khan’s health

Javed Akhtar drops update on Salim Khan's health: 'He's sitting on a chair and talking now'

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has been hospitalised since the last few days. He was admitted to Lilavati hospital and the doctors informed the media that experienced a minor brain haemorrhage and subsequently underwent a surgical procedure. Dr Jalil Parkar who was treating him had told the media after his surgery, “There was minimal brain haemorrhage. A procedure called DSA was done today morning. No surgery was required. He is still on ventilator. By tomorrow hopefully, he will be off ventilator. Keeping in mind the age, the time of recovery is more. He’s fine, he’s stable… All in all, he’s doing quite well,” he added. One saw several members of the film fraternity, and friends of Salim Khan, Salman Khan and family visiting him. Now Salim Khan’s friend Javed Akhtar who he formed the iconic Salim-Javed pair with, has now dropped an update on his health. Akhtar was present at a book launch event in the city. During this conversation, he also spoke about Salim Khan. As quoted by Hindustan Times, Akhtar said, “Salim is fine now. He’s okay and recovering. He’s sitting on a chair and talking, and I mean, he has improved.”A few days ago, Salman’s co-star Daisy Shah had also shared that the screenwriter is out of danger now. “Daisy revealed that although she hasn’t personally met the family at the hospital, she has been regularly checking in with Salman. She told Filmygyan, “I couldn’t meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success and he is under observation, but he is out of danger.”
