UAE announces early spring break from March 9 to 22; classes and work resume March 23/Representative Image
The UAE has announced an early start to the spring break for schools and universities, with students and staff set to be off from March 9 until March 22. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed that the spring break will begin on Monday, March 9, 2026, and continue until Sunday, March 22, 2026. The break will apply to all public and private schools and universities across the country. Authorities said the dates will cover students, teaching staff and administrative personnel, ensuring that both academic and non-academic employees observe the holiday period. The announcement follows approval from the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council. After receiving the council’s approval, both ministries confirmed the revised spring break schedule for educational institutions nationwide.
