Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message emphasizing global peace, cooperation, and the fight against terrorism during a joint media address. He stated that terrorism, extremism, and radicalization are shared and serious challenges not just for two nations, but for all of humanity. He stressed that close cooperation between democratic nations is essential for ensuring global peace and stability. Referring to rising global tensions, especially in West Asia, he reiterated that India firmly supports dialogue and diplomacy as the means to resolve disputes. He also assured that India is working closely with all concerned countries to ensure the safety of Indian citizens in the region. Following his remarks, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney thanked PM Modi for the warm hospitality extended in New Delhi. He highlighted the strengthening ties between India and Canada, mentioning meetings at the G7 Summit in Alberta and the G20 Summit in Johannesburg. Carney described the relationship not as a renewal but an expansion of a valued partnership with new ambition and focus. He praised India’s rapid economic growth, clean energy initiatives, digital economy expansion, biofuel projects, and leadership in next-generation artificial intelligence talent, calling India one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.
