Political Alert: BJP Targets Rahul Gandhi With Posters, Draws Parallel With Umar Khalid

A fresh political flashpoint has erupted in the national capital after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put up provocative posters targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi outside its Delhi office. The posters reportedly compare him with Delhi riots accused Umar Khalid, carrying the slogan: “One anarchic mindset, different anti-national faces.” BJP spokesperson R. P. Singh defended the move, alleging that both figures share a similar ideology and intent to create disruption during high-profile international events. Singh claimed that just as Khalid allegedly chose the timing of unrest during former US President Donald Trump’s 2020 India visit, Rahul Gandhi similarly enabled disruption during a recent AI Summit in Delhi attended by global leaders. The BJP has accused Gandhi of encouraging actions that could tarnish India’s global image, a charge expected to intensify political tensions. Congress leaders have not yet issued a detailed response to the poster campaign. The controversy highlights escalating friction between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress, with debates sharpening over nationalism, dissent, and political messaging.
