Dhanashree takes a dig at Yuzvendra: ‘Trust toot chuka hai’

Dhanashree Verma takes a dig at Yuzvendra Chahal, says 'Trust toh mera bohot Pehle toot chuka tha'

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal have been in the news ever since their divorce. The duo have also been taking subtle digs at each other. Meanwhile, Dhanashree will be seen next in a new show called ‘Rise And Fall’ featuring 16 celebrities which includes Arjun Bijlani, Kiku Sharda, and Kubbra Sait apart from Dhanashree. The teaser has dropped recently. One of the most talked-about moments in the teaser featured choreographer-influencer Dhanashree Verma, who appeared to take a subtle swipe at her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, amid the headlines surrounding their controversial divorce. The promo revealed some of the celebrity contenders entering the game – Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, aimed to fight against challenges with Kubbra Sait as her fearless self, and Kiku Sharda, balancing humour with cleverness. As soon as Kiku mentioned trust, the camera panned out to Dhanashree and she threw a ball, while saying, “Trust toh mera bahut pehle hi toott chuka tha (My trust was broken a long time ago).” The teaser opens with Kiku and Kubbra introduced as the ‘rulers,’ enjoying a lavish lifestyle in a high-rise, while down below, the ‘workers’ struggle in a stark basement. As the rulers fear slipping from their throne, the workers push hard to claim a place at the top.Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Dhanashree admitted that the divorce was “confusing” for her. While she could handle trolling to an extent, it was her parents who were most affected. “I had to stay strong to make my parents feel better. We belong to this generation, so we know not to pay attention to negative comments, but how do you explain that to your parents? My parents’ friends would call them, ‘Yeh kya ho gaya?’ It was a delicate situation because I also needed strength and so did my parents,” she recalled in an interview with Humans of Bombay.
