The Crime Branch of Delhi Police will now carry forward the investigation into the protest that took place during the India AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam last week. Earlier, police arrested Uday Bhanu Chib, the National President of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), in connection with the alleged “shirtless protest” during the event. According to sources, Chib was taken into custody around 4:30 am after prolonged questioning and was later formally arrested. Officials indicated that he may soon be produced before a court as part of the legal process. With the Crime Branch stepping in, the probe is expected to examine the planning, execution, and possible involvement of others linked to the disruption at the high-profile summit.
