DEVELOPMENT WATCH: PM Modi to Inaugurate ₹12,930 Cr Projects in Meerut, Flag Off Namo Bharat & Metro

Narendra Modi will visit Meerut today to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth approximately ₹12,930 crore. The initiatives span urban infrastructure, transport, and public development, highlighting the government’s focus on modernizing regional connectivity and boosting local growth. During the visit, PM Modi will also flag off the Namo Bharat and the Meerut Metro, two major projects aimed at improving urban mobility, reducing travel time, and strengthening transportation networks in western Uttar Pradesh. Officials note that these projects are expected to significantly enhance passenger convenience and support economic activities in the region. The inauguration ceremony is being organized with security and public arrangements in place, and thousands of citizens and local leaders are expected to attend. This visit underscores the central government’s emphasis on regional development and infrastructure-driven economic growth in key urban centers.
