Meet Sophie Shine: Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan’s second wife; Inside their private wedding

Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has tied the knot with his partner Sophie Shine in a private ceremony. The couple, who reportedly met in Dubai, shared heartwarming pictures from their wedding, including traditional rituals and celebratory dances. Shine, an Irish product consultant, also actively participates in Dhawan’s ventures, heading his foundation and serving as COO of Da One Sports.

Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan got married to his partner Sophie Shine on Saturday in a private wedding. After sharing pictures from the sangeet event, he recently shared some snaps from their wedding. As the Gabbar of Indian cricket begins his new life with his wife, let’s take a look at who Sophie Shine is.

Who is Sophie Shine

Sophie Shine has an Irish nationality and as per a report by Hindustan Times, she is a product consultant. She is a graduate of the Limerick Institute of Technology. Addtionally she also holds a degree in Marketing and Management. She completed her studies at Castleroy College and worked as the Second Vice President at the Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Shikhar Dhawan and Sophie Shine also work together in the former cricketer’s ventures. She heads the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, which is a non-profit organization. She is also the COO of Da One Sports.

Sharing the pictures from the wedding, Shikhar Dhawan wrote, “Mr. & Mrs. Dhawan.” It showed them standing on the stage as they bowed down, holding their hands together. Another picture showed them in indulging in bhangra dance and a wholesome photo where Shikhar Dhawan applies vermilion (sindoor) at the central parting line of the hair, known as the maang. For the unversed, they reportedly met for the first time at a restaurant in Dubai. Rumours regarding their relationship began surfacing after he was spotted at Punjab Kings matches in 2024 and later at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. In June last year, Sophie Shine officially confirmed their relationship on social media.During a turbulent time in Shikhar Dhawan’s post-divorce with Ayesha Mukherji, Sophie Shine has helped the 40-year-old with her support.
