Hilary Duff shares her hot take on ‘mom group drama’

‘This is not new for me’: Hilary Duff breaks silence on ‘mom group drama’; here’s what she said

Hilary Duff is back in the headlines, but not because of a new project. This time, everyone’s talking about how she’s handling a sudden flood of online drama, the kind that started with some “mom group” gossip and just snowballed from there. In a recent interview, Hilary opened up about what really matters to her: her family, keeping things in perspective, and finding some peace when life gets loud.

Hilary Duff’s take on ‘mom group drama’

For the unversed, the whole “toxic mom group” thing started when Ashley Tisdale wrote an honest essay about feeling pushed out of her circle of mom friends. As the piece grabbed attention online, people ran with it, and of course, celebrity names got thrown around, even if nobody was ever called out directly. After weeks of rumors, Hilary finally broke her silence during an interview with The Los Angeles Times. What’s her take amidst all this chatter?Hilary revealed that she’s used to this kind of attention: “I mean, this is not new for me,” Hilary told the Times. “Since I was a teenager, my life’s been under a microscope. Every move gets documented. Everyone thinks they know everything about me and the people I’m close to.” There’s truth in Hilary’s confession; she’s been in the public eye since she was fifteen, chased by paparazzi and having her friendships picked apart in public. Now, with TikTok and social media, Hilary says stories spin out even faster and get blown way out of proportion.Hilary knows how fast these stories take off. “It’s weird when you see people online guessing and sometimes getting close, and other times they have no idea,” she said. And yes, she’s seen the rumors, like the one about none of the other school moms liking her. She shut that down fast. “The women at school are lovely. I’m obsessed with all of them,” Hilary said.So how does she deal with all this? Hillary shared that she tunes it out and focuses on her family. She shares three daughters (Banks, Mae, and Townes) with her husband, Matthew Koma, and she co-parents her son, Luca, with her ex, Mike Comrie. For Hilary, the real stuff happens at home. “Honestly, it just depends on the day,” she said. “But being able to play soccer with my kids in the backyard, hop in the hot tub, or collect chicken eggs together — that’s what life’s about. When things get crazy online, I just go home and shut it all out.”

The ‘mom group drama’: What is it?

It all kicked off late last year, when Ashley Tisdale (now going by Ashley French) wrote an essay called “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group.” In her essay for ‘The Cut’, Ashley admitted she felt impressed by her friends at first. But it stung when she realized she wasn’t being invited to certain get-togethers. She never named names, but people guessed, since she’d posted about hanging out with Hilary, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore. She tried to brush it off and told herself everyone was just busy, but eventually, the feeling stuck. Before leaving the group chat for good, Ashley sent one last message, per People: “This is too high school for me, and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.” Go to Source
