Youth Congress workers staged a strong protest on Friday (February 20) during the AI Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, opposing the proposed India–US trade deal. During the demonstration, some workers removed their T-shirts and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chanting “PM Is Compromised.” The incident has since triggered escalating political tensions. In response, the Bharatiya Janata Party is holding protests across the country on Saturday (February 21) against the Congress. Demonstrations are taking place in Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Jammu & Kashmir. In Delhi, BJP Yuva Morcha workers gathered outside the Congress headquarters carrying posters reading “Deshdrohi Rahul Gandhi Maafi Maange” (Rahul Gandhi must apologize). Anticipating unrest, Delhi Police sealed Akbar Road with double-layer barricading. However, angry BJP workers reportedly broke through the barricades, leading to the detention of several protesters. The protest in the capital was attended by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari.
