Breaking News: Delhi Police Seize Car After Subhash Nagar Crash, Accused Mohit Under Investigation

Delhi Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred around 4:30 AM in Subhash Nagar. A speeding car, driven by a man identified as Mohit, struck a Zomato delivery rider returning from a wedding. The rider died on the spot. Authorities acted swiftly, seizing the vehicle involved and sending the victim’s body to a local hospital morgue for postmortem procedures. Police confirmed that Mohit, the accused, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, including the driver’s condition, speed, and any possible negligence. Witness statements and CCTV footage are being reviewed as part of the probe. Delhi Police have emphasized the seriousness of reckless driving incidents, especially those involving delivery workers during late-night hours. Legal proceedings and charges against Mohit are expected as the investigation progresses. Residents are urged to exercise caution on roads and follow traffic rules.
