Breaking: Delhi Metro Hikes Fare by ₹1 to ₹4; Airport Express Line Fare Increased by ₹5 | ABP NEWS

The Delhi Metro has announced a fare increase effective from August 25. Passengers will now have to pay ₹1 to ₹4 more depending on the distance traveled. This fare hike affects all metro routes, with the exact increment varying by journey length. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stated that the increase is minimal and necessary. Additionally, the Airport Express Line has seen a fare rise of ₹5. Commuters using this service will need to pay the increased amount from today. The fare revision aims to balance operational costs while continuing to provide efficient transport. Delhi Metro users should prepare for slightly higher travel expenses starting now. The corporation has assured that the hike is modest and distance-based, keeping affordability in mind for daily commuters.
