Israel conducted airstrikes targeting energy facilities in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a. The strikes hit a power plant and a gas station located in areas controlled by Houthi rebels. This attack comes just days after Yemen fired cluster bombs toward Israel. According to Yemen’s health ministry, two people were killed and 35 injured in the strikes. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated the air raids were a direct response to the recent aggression from Yemen. They also confirmed that the targets included a military installation near the presidential palace. The IDF further claimed these sites were being used by the Houthi rebels to carry out their military activities. This latest escalation highlights the ongoing conflict between Israel and Houthi forces in Yemen, raising concerns over regional stability and civilian safety in the conflict zones.
