In Delhi’s Dwarka, a 23-year-old man, Sahil Dinesh Ra, lost his life on February 3 after being hit by a speeding Scorpio driven by a minor attempting a social media stunt. According to Sahil’s mother, Ina, the teenager was unlicensed and driving recklessly with his sister filming reels from the passenger seat. The car struck Sahil’s bike, killing him on the spot, and also injured a taxi driver. Sahil’s mother has appealed on social media for justice, describing herself as a single parent who raised her only son for 23 years. She criticized the juvenile driver’s “criminal mentality” and the lack of accountability, noting that the minor was released on interim bail due to ongoing board exams. Video footage of the incident shows the Scorpio performing dangerous maneuvers at high speed. The case has sparked questions about road safety, enforcement of traffic laws, and the risks posed by social media-driven stunts. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and evidence from the crash site to investigate lapses that allowed the tragedy to occur. Public outrage highlights the tension between juvenile legal protections and the demand for justice for victims of reckless driving.
