In a major breakthrough, Mumbai Police has arrested the main shooter involved in the firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence. The accused was apprehended from Rajasthan after remaining on the run since the attack on the night of January 31. According to sources, the Crime Branch had been actively tracking the suspect using technical evidence and other intelligence inputs. Earlier, four individuals were arrested the day after the incident, followed by another arrest in Pune. However, those arrested were allegedly involved in providing logistical support, including weapons, money, and vehicles. The main shooter, who reportedly fired four rounds, had managed to evade capture until now. Police sources revealed that the accused had been constantly changing his location and was hiding in Rajasthan. After tracing him, Mumbai Police arrested him and will now seek transit remand to bring him to Mumbai. He will be produced before the Killa Court in Mumbai after being brought back. This arrest marks a significant success for Mumbai Police in cracking the high-profile firing case.
