Saudi Arabia: Madinah education department announces revised school timings for Ramadan

As Ramadan approaches, schools in Madinah are adjusting their schedules to reflect the rhythm of the holy month. Education authorities have now confirmed revised working hours for the 1447 AH academic year, ensuring that classes continue in a way that respects the spiritual and daily routines associated with Ramadan.

Revised school start time

The General Administration of Education in Madinah Region announced that the new school timings will come into effect from the first day of Ramadan 1447 AH. According to the administration, the school day for all boys’ and girls’ schools will begin during Ramadan with the first period in morning schools starting at 9:30 a.m. The revised schedule applies across schools in the region.

Academic continuity during the holy month

Officials stated that the adjusted hours take into account the special nature of Ramadan. The aim is to balance academic commitments with the unique schedule that families observe during the blessed month. The administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a supportive educational environment throughout Ramadan. It also extended wishes for continued success and prosperity to students, staff and the wider community during the holy month.
