Trump rips Bill Maher, claims hosting 'overrated' comic was a 'total waste of time' in explosive Truth Social post

In a shocking explosive rant, President Donald Trump wrote a nearly 500-word spiel about regretting hosting comedian Bill Maher at the White House. In the post made on Truth Social on Saturday, he called the host a ‘jerk’ who has ‘zero confidence’ during their time together and diagnosed him with the famous Trump Derangement Syndrome. The President revealed that Maher came to the White House for a dinner at the request of a mutual friend and he was surprised by Maher’s behaviour which he described as “extremely nervous, ZERO confidence.” He claimed Maher admitted that he was scared which he found “somewhat endearing” and the two had a quick and easy great dinner. However, while the comedian was “very respectful” about their meeting for his first show after their dinner, over a period of time, he went to being “very boring, ANTI TRUMP” with no credit to the work the President has done to bring the country back from “OBLIVION”.

Trump claimed it was a “total waste of time for me to have invited this jerk” to the White House. This was because in a recent episode of his show “Real Time With Bill Maher” the host criticised Trump’s comments made in a Truth Social post where he claimed that China is plotting to “terminate ALL ice hockey” in Canada, in reference to the country’s new trade relations with the East Asian tycoon.Maher allegedly criticised Trump’s comments saying “What kind of a person would say such a foolish thing as this,” which apparently reached the President’s ears. “He went on and on about the Hockey statement, like ‘What kind of a person would say such a foolish thing as this,’ as though I were being serious when I said it,” wrote Trump. However, in his social media rant, Trump claimed Maher’s television ratings “are so low that nobody will learn about his various Fake News statements about me,” while also putting him in the likes of his other TV show host nemesis including “Kimmel, Fallon or Colbert.””Maher asked me if he could come back to the White House again and, with his friend, also asked to come to the wonderful White House Christmas Party, but he didn’t. Regardless, I’d much rather spend my time MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN than wasting it on him.”While calling Maher “slightly more talented” than his peers, yet “highly overrated” Trump accused him of having a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome with there being nothing that can cure him of “this very serious disease.””Thank you for your attention to this minor matter. President DJT!” he signed off.

On March 31st, 2025, Maher attended a White House dinner with Donald Trump, Dana White and Kid Rock. In an April 11 episode of his show, Maher claimed that everything he had ever not liked about Trump was “I swear to God, absent, at least on this night with this guy.” He also recently slammed the racist Obama video Trump posted on his Truth Social account, calling the defence of the since-deleted video “rather lame” and accusing the White House of being “hypocrites.”
