Mamta Mohandas says she is open to remarriage

Mamta Mohandas says she is open to remarriage: ‘But it has to be someone that I…’

Actress Mamta Mohandas revealed her openness to remarriage, emphasizing the need for mutual effort and shared interests in a relationship. Speaking on a podcast, she shared her past marriage’s swift end and offered advice on overcoming hesitation to find love again by addressing past hurts and regrets. Mohandas will next appear in ‘My Dear Sister’.

Mamta Mohandas believes in second chances, both in love and life. The actress, who fought cancer and came back stronger, recently opened up about her expectations moving forward. Mamta Mohandas expressed that she is open to finding love again. Talking to veteran actress Suhasini Maniratnam during the ‘Second Sunrise’ podcast by Jose Alukkas, Mamta Mohandas said, “I would like to get married, re-married. But it has to really be someone that I can, I have fun putting this work in with. Both people have to be interested.”Interviewer Suhasini Maniratnam was delighted to hear that Mamta Mohandas is open to finding a partner for life. “It’s good to know you’re open, you’re not closed. So when you’re open, things are going to happen.” To which Mamta Mohandas said, “Life is beautiful.”Suhasini also asked if she had any advice for people hesitant to find love again. “The first question I think they need to ask themselves is, why are they hesitant and closed? And what made them? Is it their family? Is it culture? Is it regret? Is there something that they did wrong? Most often, when people carry a negative emotion, such as being closed is because they have some element of hurt or regret that they have not really faced. And I think the best solution or the best first step would be to address those. Remove the knots that is there internally in your system or in your conscience. Therefore, you will become,” Mamta Mohandas said. Mamta Mohandas married businessman Prejith Padmanabhan in 2011. However, a year later, they announced their separation. During the podcast, Mamta Mohandas also reflected on the divorce. “I met my former husband, Prajith, at my twin sister’s wedding. When we spoke, we found that our likes and interests were similar. After my twin sister’s wedding, he asked, ‘Why don’t we get married next?’ I told him to speak to my father. It was that simple. I believed marriage was a lifelong commitment. But six months after the wedding, I had to walk out of it,” she said. On the work front, Mamta Mohandas will be next seen in ‘My Dear Sister’.
