Jeffrey Epstein bought 330 gallons of acid the day the FBI launched its investigation, new document reveals

Jeffrey Epstein bought hundreds of gallons of sulphuric acid for his island on the same day the FBI opened its probe into him, new document revealed.Receipts and internal emails indicate that 6 55-gallon drums, a total of 330 gallons, of the corrosive chemical were delivered to Little St. James on June 12, 2018, The Sun reported. The documents show the shipment cost $4,373.17 and coincided with the launch of the FBI’s probe into Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking operation. The request form, buried within millions of files released on January 30, reads: “x 6 55 gal drums sulphuric acid w/fuel and insurance charge for transport; materials for conductivity probes; replacement pH and cable – RO Plant – LSJ”.The timing of the acid purchase triggered widespread speculation online. Some social media users claimed the chemical could have been purchased to destroy evidence or even human remains, despite no proof supporting those claims.“One Epstein files email they requested six 55 gallon drums of sulfuric acid, the only thing that is used for is to dissolve bodies,” one user wrote. The files themselves provide no indication of criminal use. Emails elsewhere in the newly released records, including exchanges dating back to 2013, suggest the sulphuric acid was used as part of a water purification system on the island.RO refers to reverse osmosis, a process commonly used to treat drinking water.Sulphuric acid is routinely used in such systems to regulate pH levels, soften water, and improve filtration efficiency. No other stated purpose for the chemical appears in the records.Epstein died in 2019 in a New York jail cell while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. He was denied bail and was already a registered sex offender after a prior conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. It comes after disturbing footage shows Epstein allegedly chasing young women around the kitchen of his home on his infamous private island. The disgraced financier appears to be laughing as he runs after 2 women inside his Little Saint James property. The paedophile is seen dressed casually in a white polo shirt, joggers, and slippers as he pursues the women through the kitchen, who shriek as they flee.At one stage, he appears to leap onto the kitchen counter and reach towards one of them.
