An encounter took place between police and criminals in Usmanpur, Delhi. The Crime Branch team of Delhi Police’s Shakarpur unit has claimed that three criminals were arrested following the exchange of fire. All three are said to be associated with the Asad gang, and those apprehended include the gang’s kingpin. After the encounter, all three accused sustained injuries and were admitted to a hospital for treatment. The arrested criminals were wanted in a murder case in Meerut, where they allegedly carried out the killing due to personal rivalry. Police also recovered weapons from their possession. During the retaliatory action by the police, the three accused were injured. They are currently undergoing treatment in hospital custody.
