Policy Update: Uttarakhand Govt Raises Pension for Statehood Activists

Now turning to another major development, the Dhami government in Uttarakhand has taken a significant decision concerning statehood movement activists. The government led by Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved an increase in the monthly pension for activists who participated in the statehood movement. The pension has been raised from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 per month. Additionally, the pension for their dependents has also been enhanced. Dependents will now receive ₹5,500 per month. The decision is being viewed as an important step toward honoring the contribution and sacrifices of statehood activists, while also providing greater financial support to their families.
