According to reports, the driver was in a hurry to buy alcohol. He parked the car and stepped out to purchase liquor from a nearby shop. However, he allegedly failed to notice that there was an open drain ahead and that the vehicle was parked on a slight slope. Due to the incline, the car slowly rolled forward and fell into the drain. By the time the driver returned, the front portion of the car had already slipped into the drain. With the help of local residents, the vehicle was eventually pulled out. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. The accident reportedly took place near Basai village in Sector 70, Phase 3 of Noida. The incident has also raised concerns about civic negligence, as the drain is said to have been left open for a long time.
