A major political confrontation has erupted after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey submitted a substantive motion notice seeking cancellation of Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership. The notice accuses the Leader of the Opposition of colluding with anti-national forces and violating parliamentary decorum. An exclusive copy of the motion has surfaced, highlighting allegations of “unparliamentary conduct” and remarks targeting constitutional institutions. The development comes on the final day of the first phase of Parliament’s Budget Session, with strong indications of uproar in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The BJP has intensified its attack, demanding discussion on the motion and strict action against Rahul Gandhi. Dubey alleged repeated rule violations and misinformation by the Congress leader. Rahul Gandhi has responded defiantly, stating that the government is free to file an FIR or move a motion, adding that the opposition will continue its fight. Apart from this controversy, the trade deal issue is also fueling tensions, making disruptions in Parliament highly likely.
