JAMMU: Facing charges of irregularities in the procurement of 133 luxury vehicles in FY 24-25, Jammu & Kashmir govt on Thursday in a written reply in the assembly denied the allegations and asserted the purchases by various depts and PSUs were strictly in accordance with the prescribed norms.“There has been no deviation,” transport minister Satish Sharma said, rejecting the charge of additional burden on the public exchequer.However, he admitted relaxation of prescribed norms in certain cases, considering difficult terrain, operational requirements and the nature of official duties.
