In a major development in the Kanpur Lamborghini case, arrested accused Shivam Mishra has now moved a bail application through his lawyers. Shivam, who was reportedly absconding for nearly 90 hours, was finally arrested and produced before the court. Following his arrest, his legal team has formally submitted a plea seeking bail. However, controversy continues over the circumstances of his arrest. Police claim Shivam was arrested from his residence in Kanpur after receiving specific inputs about his presence in the city. Five teams were reportedly deployed to secure the arrest. On the other hand, Shivam’s lawyers argue that he was detained from Paras Hospital, claiming he was undergoing treatment and was picked up by police while being transported in an ambulance. The core dispute remains whether Shivam was driving the Lamborghini at the time of the incident. His lawyers maintain that the vehicle was driven by his driver, Mohan. Police, citing CCTV footage and investigation findings, insist that Shivam was behind the wheel. The court is expected to hear arguments once proceedings formally begin.
