The journey of Pariksha Pe Charcha reached the Ashtalakshmi region of India as the Prime Minister interacted with students in Guwahati, Assam, amid the serene flow of the Brahmaputra river. The unique setting turned the discussion into a relaxed, reflective conversation, helping students open up about exam stress, self-confidence, health, and family expectations. Students warmly welcomed the Prime Minister with the traditional Assamese gamosa, setting a cultural and emotional tone for the interaction. During the discussion, students shared how the programme and the book Exam Warriors helped reduce their fear of exams by encouraging them to see examinations as celebrations rather than pressure points. Questions ranged from healthy lifestyle habits and diet to dealing with comparisons within families and overcoming stage fear. The Prime Minister emphasized self-competition over comparison with others, prioritizing physical health, proper sleep, mindful breathing, and self-belief. He advised students to learn from the strengths of siblings and peers instead of feeling discouraged, and highlighted confidence as trust in one’s own abilities. The session also celebrated local culture, with students presenting Assamese folk music and tea from nearby tea gardens, reflecting pride in regional identity.
