HORROR IN DARBHANGA: Neighbor Arrested for Brutal Rape and Murder of 6-Year-Old; Police Resort to Lathi Charge as Mob Retaliates.

In a chilling incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a six-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered in Darbhanga, Bihar. The minor’s body was discovered near the local railway station late at night, sent for post-mortem amidst rising tensions. The primary suspect, a youth from the victim’s immediate neighborhood, has been apprehended by the police. According to the victim’s family, the child went missing in the evening, leading to a frantic search that ended in the gruesome discovery. The arrest of the neighbor did little to calm the local populace. As news of the depravity spread, an angry mob took to the streets, resulting in violent confrontations. Protesters pelted stones at law enforcement officials, prompting the police to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd and regain control of the situation. Currently, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams and the District Intelligence Unit (DIU) are on-site conducting a detailed investigation. While the suspect is in custody, the atmosphere remains volatile as the community demands swift justice for the innocent victim. Security has been tightened across the area to prevent further escalation.
