'Border 2' box office day 11 (LIVE): The Sunny Deol film crosses Rs 275 crore, drops on second Monday

‘Border 2’ released on Janaury 23 and fans had huge expectations from it, considering it was a successor to the 1997 ‘Border’ which continues to remain iconic over the years. While it holds high sentimental values, ‘Border 2′ also did not disappoint fans. The film had a decent opening day number after good advance sales. The film opened at Rs 30 crore on day 1 and went on to see growth over the Republic day holiday which completely served the purpose to release such a patriotic film on this day. Border 2 Movie Review’Border 2’ made Rs 59 crore on Republic day which was a Monday, and subsequently started seeing a decline in the numbers thereafter. The film had a week 1 collection of around Rs 224.25 crore. After that, on second Friday, it continued its hold at the box office despite the release of ‘Mardaani 3’. The film starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty among others made Rs 10.75 crore on second Friday, Rs 17.75 crore on second Saturday and Rs 22.5 crore on second Sunday. This was a growth from the weekday numbers of last week. Now on Monday, the decline is quite natural. On Second Monday, till afternoon so far, the film has made Rs 0.61 crore. The total collection is now Rs 275.86 crore.
