A major political controversy has erupted in Bihar over the death of a NEET aspirant in Patna. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has questioned the demand for a CBI probe, arguing that the agency is already investigating several major cases in Bihar without delivering clear outcomes. Referring to cases like the Balika Grih scandal and the Srijan scam, Tejashwi said handing over the probe to the CBI after crucial evidence has allegedly been destroyed would only amount to a cover-up. The victim’s family has also raised similar concerns. Allegations of sexual assault and murder inside a hostel have intensified the political debate, with Tejashwi targeting the Nitish Kumar government over deteriorating law and order, citing rising incidents of rape, murder, kidnapping, and corruption across the state. Meanwhile, in a separate incident from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district, two young women allegedly under the influence of alcohol created chaos on a busy road. One of them was so intoxicated that she repeatedly wandered into traffic, disrupting vehicular movement for a long time. Police later intervened and moved them away. The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
