
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported largely flat domestic sales, including sales to other OEMs, at 185,943 units in January 2026, marginally higher than 185,151 units in the same month last year.
Total sales for the month rose 11.6 per cent year-on-year to 236,963 units, up from 212,251 units in January 2025, driven by a sharp increase in exports.
Exports jumped to 51,020 units in the month, up from 27,100 units in the year-ago period, marking an 88 per cent increase. The carmaker said that exports during the month reached an all-time high, highlighting stronger overseas demand.
Segment-wise performance
Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 174,529 units in January, while light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales were reported at 3,771 units. Combined domestic sales, including LCVs, totalled 178,300 units. Sales to other OEMs accounted for 7,643 units. Within passenger vehicles, mini and compact cars together recorded sales of 87,006 units, utility vehicles posted 75,609 units, and vans accounted for 11,914 units. The company reported no sales in the mid-size segment during the month.
