Ed Sheeran calls his sports car ‘the worst purchase’

Ed Sheeran calls his luxury sports car 'the worst purchase'; Shares hilarious story when he 'left it on the road'

Ed Sheeran, the ‘Shape of You’ singer, has been a grounded person who drove through the intricate lanes of West Bengal, but he is also a person who left his high-end luxury sports car in a puddle after his serious misjudgment.

Ed Sheeran reveals his worst purchase ever

In a conversation with Complex’s GOAT Talk, Sheeran revealed his worst purchase in the world, but the answer seemed weird, as some people might go crazy with the amount of flex they could do. Revealing his worst purchase, the pop singer said he bought an Aston Martin DB9 as his first car. When his fellow guest, Barry Keoghan, asked why, Sheeran chronicled a story of why the car lasted only a day. “I was driving back from the studio, and there’s a country lane to get to my house,” the 34-year-old said, before adding, “I was driving down it, and there was this big puddle. I was like, ‘I’ll just drive slowly through this puddle. I start driving slowly … and I can see the water on my windows, and I’m like, ‘Oh, f**k!’”Disclosing what he did with the car, Sheeran said that the car stopped, and he left it there. “I keep trying to start it, and then I open the door. All this water comes in, and I left it on the road,” he said, adding that someone must have taken it and hasn’t seen it since.

Ed Sheeran and the sinister experiences

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran opened up about how he would require bodyguards around him and his family until his demise, as they had sinister experiences with the fans, according to Australia’s 60 Minutes show. “Like kidnap threats and s*** like that. We’ve had attempted break-ins, things left on my car. It’s way more sinister than just fans turning up and wanting selfies,” he said, before adding, “We have a level of security that probably won’t change until I pass away. That’s just our life now.”
