India also emerged as the second-largest fish and mobile manufacturing nation, reflecting the strength of the blue economy and industrial sector. The President highlighted record electric vehicle exports to over 100 countries and smart phone exports crossing ₹1 lakh crore in just the first five months of 2025-26. Infrastructure development remains a national priority, with nearly 18,000 km of rural roads added, 100% railway electrification underway, and iconic projects like the Chinnab Bridge in Jammu & Kashmir and the new Pamban Bridge in Tamil Nadu completed. The Vande Bharat train network has expanded to 150 routes, including the launch of sleeper trains in Bengal and Assam. Metro networks now cover over 1,000 km nationwide, making India the third-largest metro network globally. Inland waterways have grown from 5 to 100 national waterways, underlining India’s holistic approach to development. The President emphasized governance transparency, efficient fund utilization, and empowerment of youth, farmers, and entrepreneurs as key drivers of India’s sustainable progress.
