'Border 2' box office collections Day 3: Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s film mints over Rs 120 crore ahead of Republic Day

Sunny Deol starrer ‘Border 2’ continues to shine at the box office. Within three days of its release, the movie, directed by Anurag Singh and starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in the lead, has joined the Rs 100 crore club. Ahead of Republic Day, the movie has shown tremendous business growth and is expected to benefit further from the holiday surge. As of now, with collection over Rs 120 crore, ‘Border 2’ has become Sunny Deol and Diljit Dosanjh’s second-highest-earning movie, and Varun Dhawan’s third. ‘Border 2’ Day 3 collections

The war-drama set during the India-Pakistan War of 1971, according to Sacnilk, has earned Rs 54.5 crore on its third day, i.e. Sunday. The film saw a growth of almost 50 per cent from its Saturday numbers, which were Rs 36.5 crore. Currently, in India, this J.P. Dutta movie is standing at Rs 121 crore net in India. With the national holiday window, it is expected to earn more as the day progresses.

‘Border 2’ occupancy on day 3

‘Border 2’ had an overall 61.14% Hindi occupancy. Here again, one can see an impressive rise, as on day 2, the occupancy rate stood at 41.58%. On day 3, the morning shows saw 31.46% occupancy, while in the afternoon, the footfall rose to 68.93%. The percentage saw a further growth in the evening as it recorded 77.03% occupancy.
