Describing the award as a responsibility rather than just a recognition, the actor assured that he would uphold its values. “I consider this not just an award, but a responsibility. I promise to carry this honour with dignity, sincerity, and a deep sense of commitment to the values it represents,” he wrote, hoping to continue serving with integrity and humility in the years to come. A popular name across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, Madhavan made his Bollywood debut with Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein in 2001 and rose to prominence in Tamil cinema with Mani Ratnam’s Alai Payuthey.
