Khushbu lauds ‘Sirai’, calls it a must-watch

Khushbu lauds 'Sirai', praises Vikram Prabhu’s performance, rates the content-driven film a must-watch

Actress Khushbu has lauded Vikram Prabhu’s performance in the content-driven film ‘Sirai’, calling it a ‘silent blockbuster’ and a must-watch. Despite a modest opening in December 2025, the film achieved box-office success through positive word-of-mouth. Khushbu praised the film’s tight direction, perfect casting, and Vikram Prabhu’s restrained yet bold portrayal, highlighting its impact even on OTT.

Actor Vikram Prabhu’s ‘Sirai’, which made its debut in December 2025, didn’t have a spectacular opening or record-breaking first-day collection. But went on to achieve box-office success with positive word-of-mouth. Suresh Rajakumari’s first venture as a director received a lukewarm response compared to multi-million dollar productions failing terribly to kickstart a film’s trajectory to success. ‘Sirai’ was a classic example of how just a good story and fine performances could rescue a movie’s fate.

Khushbu’s appreciation brings fresh spotlight to ‘Sirai’

While the positive response to the film, actress Khushbu recently raved about ‘Sirai’, attracted more attention to the movie. On her X (formerly Twitter) page, she noted that she just watched the film and urged movie lovers to go see it. Stating ‘Sirai’ is a ‘silent blockbuster,’ Khushbu noted that ‘Sirai’ was a film that audiences should watch. She emphasized that the simple premise of the film was well told and well received by the audience.

Vikram Prabhu’s performance wins special mention

Khushbu had complimentary words to say about Vikram Prabhu and took pride in his acting. As per her, the actor has evidently realized the enormity of the task and has given quite a restrained and bold performance. She also added that Vikram Prabhu’s performance restored the actor’s right to his lineage and family of actors, and she felt proud of him during his performance. Her quote matches with the general agreement among the audience that Viktor Prabhub has efficiently delivered a restrained performance in the movie.

‘Sirai’ thoughtful casting earn applause

Lauding director Suresh Rajakumari, Khushbu said that the film ‘Sirai’ was there due to perfect casting and strict direction. She said that there were no unnecessary scenes or songs, and that the movie was full and crisp. Wishing the entire team for their accomplishment, she credited the entire crew for the success of this film. Released on OTT on January 23 on ZEE5, ‘Sirai’ has also made its mark in the OTT space as it shows that a good film, no matter where, can create an impact.
