Another shooting involving federal law enforcement has reportedly taken place in Minneapolis amid the Donald Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said on Saturday. The suspect was armed with a gun and two magazines, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told Fox News.In a statement on X, the city of Minneapolis said, “We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area.”The latest incident comes amid daily protests in the Twin Cities following the January 7 shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good, who was killed when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer fired into her vehicle during a federal crackdown operation in south Minneapolis.Good was inside her SUV in a residential neighbourhood south of downtown when the shooting occurred. Officials said the incident happened during a tense confrontation as unmarked law enforcement vehicles moved through the area.Good was the mother of a six-year-old child and also had two other children who, according to family members, lived with extended relatives.
