‘Did he leave his hair in Montecito?’: Social Media shocked by Prince Harry’s ‘alarmingly bald’ look after London court appearance

'Did he leave his hair in Montecito?': Social Media shocked by Prince Harry’s 'alarmingly bald' look after London court appearance

Prince Harry arrived at a London courthouse this week ready to battle a media giant, but it was his hair that ended up stealing the spotlight.Just days after appearing with a suspiciously fuller mane in a nostalgic throwback shared by Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex’s noticeably receding ginger locks sparked a social media trial of their own.On January 17, Meghan shared a throwback post as she participated in a 2016 trend in which celebrities and fans shared photos and videos from 10 years ago, linked to nostalgia around Brexit, YouTube makeup tutorials, and Beyoncé’s Lemonade. The black-and-white clip showed Meghan and Harry, who left the royal family in 2020, dancing in a grassy field. Another photo in the post showed them hugging in a body of water during one of their first dates to Botswana. In both images, Harry’s hair appeared fuller and thicker than in his appearance in the United Kingdom. However, when Prince Harry returned to the United Kingdom on January 19 to appear in court for his legal action against Associated Newspapers, his hair didn’t look the same. Fans mocked Prince HarryHe was mocked on social media for his balding head on his way to the courthouse. Harry’s orange hair appeared to be receding, while his beard looked fuller. Fans commented online about the difference between his appearance in the United Kingdom and in Meghan’s recent post. “Umm did Harry leave his hair in Montecito? Because Meghan’s ‘recent’ video shows him with plenty of hair, but in the U.K. today he’s alarmingly bald… so either that clip is OLD, or he forgot to carry his hair,” one person wrote.

Another said, “His toupee slipped off in the car?” A user responded: “Honestly, it looks like it did. One minute it’s ‘full coverage,’ next minute it’s scalp city. That hair situation is not staying consistent at all.”Some users compared Harry’s hair thinning to his brother Prince William’s bald head.“Honestly, if he hadn’t mocked William’s hair loss, most people wouldn’t even comment,” another person said. “Alarmingly bald, I believe is what [harry] called his brother. What does he call his current state of hair loss?”In Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, he mocked William’s baldness, describing the hair loss as “alarming” and “more advanced than mine.” He also wrote that William’s resemblance to their late mother, Princess Diana, had “faded.”
