This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Jan Sangh, the precursor to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party leaders paid tribute to generations of workers and families who contributed through dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance. The BJP has grown from these roots to become the largest political party in the world, emphasizing values, relationships, and procedural governance over positions of power. Leadership may change, but the party’s direction and ideals remain constant. BJP combines local engagement with national ambitions, providing a platform for regional aspirations while maintaining a unified national vision. Over the past 11 years, the party has strengthened public trust, forming governments in states such as Haryana, Assam, Tripura, and Odisha, and expanding its influence in West Bengal, Telangana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Bihar. Its success extends beyond legislatures to municipal and local elections, with significant wins in Maharashtra and Kerala. The BJP presents itself as a party of governance and service, focusing on stability, good governance, and sensitivity. Leaders stressed that its continuous expansion brings pride as well as responsibility to uphold its principles and public trust.
