Exclusive: MP Education Crisis Exposed: Inaugurated School Locked, Students Study in Tin Sheds

A troubling snapshot of the poor state of education infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh has surfaced from the capital, Bhopal. Two months after Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated a newly constructed government school building, the facility remains locked and unused. While official records claim the school has been formally inaugurated and is ready to accommodate around 1,000 students, the reality on the ground is starkly different. Due to alleged non-payment of nearly ₹4 crore by the government, the contractor has stopped work and sealed the building. As a result, students are being forced to attend classes in tin sheds and temporary rooms meant for laborers. The shiny, modern structure stands unused, symbolizing the gap between political ceremonies and actual delivery of basic education facilities. The situation has sparked serious concerns over administrative efficiency, accountability, and the welfare of students, once again highlighting systemic issues plaguing the state’s education system.
