Popular streamer IShowSpeed left an Algerian Cup football match after fans in the stands started throwing objects at him. The incident happened while he was visiting the stadium as part of his ongoing Africa tour. Speed was walking on the pitch before the match began and interacting with fans for his livestream. At first, things seemed fine, but soon fans began throwing bottles and other items, making it unsafe for him to stay. His security team quickly suggested he move to a safer area near the players’ tunnel.According to stadium staff, some fans were upset because Speed was wearing an Algeria national team shirt instead of one supporting the local teams playing in the match. Even after moving to another part of the stadium, fans continued to throw objects. One staff member told him, “They like you, but they don’t like to be filmed. They don’t like it, but they like you.” Speed responded, “No, they don’t like me. You don’t throw water at somebody you like,” showing his frustration with the reaction.

After the initial warnings, Speed tried moving to a private box overlooking the lower stands, hoping the situation would calm down. However, fans kept throwing items, including liquid-filled bottles, at him and his team. Speaking during the livestream, he said, “They don’t like to be filmed. Everybody got their phones out. Even a national broadcast is filming. You gonna get mad at the national broadcast, too? They don’t like me here bro. We should just leave.” Realizing the area was unsafe, his security team advised him to exit the stadium. While leaving, Speed told his viewers not to let the incident ruin the whole experience. He said, “You can’t let stuff like that get you down. You can’t let that cancel out the whole stream. The whole stream, everybody was showing nothing but love. All of my fans showed love in Algeria, obviously. But at that stadium, I don’t know. I don’t know what happened.” He made it clear that the rest of his Africa tour had been positive and that he would continue his visits safely. The crowd incident at the Algerian Cup match shows the risks of public appearances during live streaming. Although the exact reason for the hostile reaction is unclear, safety concerns forced IShowSpeed to leave. Despite this, he emphasized that most of his Africa tour has been full of positive fan interactions and remains on track to continue through late January 2026.
