Akshay Kumar’s escort car meets with accident in Mumbai; auto-rickshaw badly damaged, bystanders help trapped man, no casualties reported

An escort vehicle from Akshay Kumar’s convoy was involved in a collision with an auto-rickshaw on Monday evening. According to reports, Vishwas Nangare Patil, Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra, was present at the accident site and was seen trying to assess the situation. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.Disturbing visuals from the spot showed the escort car toppled onto its right side, while the auto-rickshaw was completely crushed from above. In one of the videos, an individual was seen trapped inside the damaged auto-rickshaw, struggling to free himself. Several people who had gathered at the site rushed to help and were seen working together to safely pull the man out of the vehicle.Akshay Kumar is yet to react or share any details regarding the accident.

The couple tied the knot on January 17, 2001, in Mumbai and are parents to two children — son Aarav, 23, and daughter Nitara, 13.Akshay also marked the occasion with a heartfelt and humorous note, recalling advice from his mother-in-law, veteran actor Dimple Kapadia. “When we got married this day in 2001, her mother had said, ‘Beta, get ready to burst out laughing in the most weird situations because she’ll do exactly that,’” he wrote. Reflecting on 25 years of marriage, he added, “25 years and I know ki meri mother-in-law kabhi jhooth nahi bolti hai… her daughter refuses to even walk straight… she prefers to dance through life instead. From day one to year twenty-five, cheers to my lady who keeps me laughing, guessing and slightly anxious at times! Happy anniversary to us, Tina. 25 years of madness that we both love.”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a packed slate ahead, with sequels such as Welcome to the Jungle, Hera Pheri 3, and Jolly LLB 3, along with new projects like Haiwaan and Bhoot Bangla in the pipeline.
