Breaking: Sakshi Maharaj Claims Temples Are PM Modi’s Contribution Amid UP Temple Row

Amid an ongoing temple-related political controversy in Uttar Pradesh, BJP Member of Parliament Sakshi Maharaj has made a strong statement crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the construction of major temples across the country. Speaking to the media, Sakshi Maharaj asserted that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a result of the vision and efforts of PM Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BJP leader claimed that no other prime minister has contributed as significantly to temple construction as PM Modi. He also targeted the Samajwadi Party leadership, stating that the public is well aware of the stance taken by Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav on the Ram Temple issue in the past. According to Sakshi Maharaj, the long-pending Ram Temple dream was fulfilled only after the BJP came to power at the Centre. His remarks come at a time when temple-related debates have intensified in Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape, with religion and heritage once again emerging as key issues ahead of upcoming political developments. The statement has sparked fresh reactions from opposition parties, who accuse the BJP of politicizing religious matters. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has consistently highlighted cultural and religious revival as part of its governance agenda, making the issue politically significant.
