Kangana cryptically talks about Hrithik as she reminisces 2016

'One of my colleagues sent me that controversial legal notice,' says Kangana Ranaut cryptically talking about Hrithik Roshan as she joins the viral '2026 is the new 2016' trend

Actor Kangana Ranaut is the latest one to join the viral “2026 is the new 2016”. The actress shared some throwback photos from 2016 with a long note, also revisiting the time when she was at the top when it came to a professional career but went through a rough time. She shared a carousel of throwback pictures ranging from magazine shoots and candid selfies at home to a still with her ‘Rangoon’ co-star Shahid Kapoor and another photo with Arjun Kapoor from an inauguration event.Kangana cryptically spoke about her feud with Hrithik Roshan. She wrote, “Why is everyone missing 2016 suddenly? It was the inevitable ascend of my career trajectory, post back to back blockbusters like ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu weds Manu’ returns I became the highest paid actress but then in the January of 2016 one of my colleagues sent me that controversial legal notice which shook and divided the industry in to insiders and outsiders. Success became poisonous and life became a living hell. Sides were taken and many more legal battles followed.” As she looked at it in retrospect, Kangana also gave out a strong message about not getting bogged down by bad times or take it serious. She further added, “Ten years ago had I known in 2026 I will be eating carbs in all my meals, will be laughing a lot and none of the 2016 drama would mean anything to anyone few years down the line, honestly I would have not been so miserable back then. Thank God it’s not 2016 and we are in 2026 ♥️” Back in 2016, Kangana had openly referred to Hrithik as a ‘silly ex’ in an interview with Pinkvilla, saying, “I don’t know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves.”Hrithik Roshan later responded publicly, denying any romantic involvement with Kangana. In a tweet, he stated, “There are more chances of me having had an affair with d Pope dan any of d (I’m sure wonderful) women media has ben naming. Thanks but no thanks.”
