Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin a crucial two-day visit to election-bound states West Bengal and Assam. During his tour, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several major development projects in both states. In West Bengal, PM Modi will launch multiple infrastructure initiatives and is also scheduled to flag off the country’s first Sleeper Vande Bharat Express, marking a significant milestone in Indian Railways. After West Bengal, the Prime Minister will travel to Assam, where he will lay the foundation stone for several projects worth crores of rupees, aimed at boosting infrastructure, connectivity, and regional development. Security arrangements and administrative preparations have been tightened in both states ahead of the visit. With assembly elections approaching in West Bengal and Assam, PM Modi’s visit is being seen as politically significant. The BJP has intensified its focus on West Bengal, and the Prime Minister is expected to visit Singur during his tour. Ahead of his arrival, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) may also hold programs in the region.
