‘Mardaani 3’ trailer: ‘King’ director Siddharth calls it, ‘Fantastic’

'Mardaani 3' trailer: 'King' director Siddharth Anand hails Rani Mukerji film, calls it, 'Fantastic'

The trailer of Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani 3’ is finally out and is getting immense positive feedback. Rani is back as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. The trailer keeps the same serious and hard tone that the franchise is known for. It does not try to be flashy. It stays dark and real. This time, the story looks at another cruel truth of society. Shivani is seen as an officer from the National Investigation Agency. She is given charge of a very disturbing case. The trailer is getting much love online and the most important one being the praise coming from ‘King’ director Siddharth Anand.

Siddharth Anand’s strong reaction

Soon after the trailer release, many people from the film world reacted online. Filmmaker Siddharth Anand also shared his thoughts. He clearly loved what he saw. Sharing the trailer link on X, he wrote, “#Mardaani3Trailer is FANTASTIC! Hits you like a bolt of lightning! Rani is GOLD! And Mallika Prasad playing Amma is terrifying! Abhiraj, you’ve nailed this one! Mohit, what a trailer you’ve cut, again!! Guys, watch it now!” His words quickly caught attention. Fans agreed with him. Many called the trailer powerful and scary in a good way.

Story, cast, and the people behind the film

‘Mardaani 3’ is written by Aayush Gupta. He is known for The Railway Men. The film is directed by Abhiraj Minawala.Along with Rani Mukerji, the film also stars Janaki Bodiwala in an important role. Mallika Prasad plays a character named Amma, who looks terrifying in the trailer. Every shot feels tight and serious. The film does not joke around. It wants to show pain, truth, and strength.

Looking back and looking ahead

The first ‘Mardaani’ film was loved mainly for Rani’s performance. She carried the film with her strong screen presence. As one review earlier said, “While there is nothing in the plot that you haven’t seen before, it is still watchable for the superb performance of Rani, whose amber-coloured eyes breathe fire when she is packing those punches!” With Mardaani 3, Rani once again looks ready to carry the story on her shoulders. The film is set to release worldwide in theatres on January 30, 2026. If the trailer is anything to go by, Shivani Roy is back, and she means business.
