Plot tease and villain twist

The trailer hints at a storyline rooted in the beginning of the mafia world. Yet it teases deeper layers hiding below the surface. In ‘Mardaani 3,’ Shivani Shivaji Roy (played by Rani Mukerji) shifts from battling male antagonists in the first two films to confronting Amma (Mallika Prasad), a ruthless female villain. The intense showdown between Shivani and Amma stands out as the film’s key draw.

Franchise legacy

The ‘Mardaani’ series has consistently delivered strong performances, raising the bar high for ‘Mardaani 3.’ Pradeep Sarkar directed the original, while Gopi Puthran took charge of the second chapter. Abhiraj Minawala now leads the third installment, earlier directing ‘LoveYatri’ and assisting on projects like ‘Tiger 3,’ ‘War 2,’ and more.

New release date

‘Mardaani 3,’ originally scheduled for a February 27, 2026, release, has been advanced and will now storm theaters on January 30, 2026.
