Did Bill Ackman donate for ICE officer Jonathan Ross who shot Minneapolis woman Renee Good dead?

Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman shared a fundraising campaign for ICE officer Jonathan Ross who shot Minneapolis woman Renee Good dead — triggering speculation as to whether the billionaire himself donated for the cause. The donor list names one William Ackman as a top donor who donated $10,000 for Jonathan Ross but it is not confirmed whether it’s Bill Ackman or it’s some other William Ackman. Bill Ackman has not issued any statement on this and has only shared the campaign. “After seeing all the media bs about a domestic terrorist getting go fund me. I feel that the officer that was 1000 percent justified in the shooting deserves to have a go fund me. Funds will go to help pay for any legal services this officer needs. I am currently in contact with his father and awaiting the officers response so I can send him the link to hand this over to him personally,” Clyde Emmons, who created the fundraiser, wrote. It received around 2.6k donations and raised around $132k within a day.

Where is Jonathan Ross and his family?

While Jonathan’s father spoke to the media after the shooting, there has been no trace of Ross and his family. Some reports claimed that they have been in hiding fearing for their life as there are death threats. Though the administration did not release Jonathan’s name, the details that the ICE agent got severely injured in 2025 during one operatio disclosed his identity. Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has been the latest voice from the administration to come forward to defend the shooting. “I’m begging, I’m begging, tone down the rhetoric. In my career, I’ve buried border patrol agents, I’ve buried ICE agents, and the saddest thing I’ve ever had to do is hand a folded flag to a spouse or a child. I don’t want to see anybody die. Anybody,” Homan said on the Dr Phil podcast. “So, for God’s sake, let’s tone the rhetoric down. Less blood. I don’t want to see more bloodshed. I didn’t want to see blood from day one. With the rhetoric now, comparing ICE to murders and the Chief Secret Police, I’m afraid this is not over.”
