‘No more oil or money’: Trump issues ultimatum to Cuba; suggests making deal ’before it's too late'

US President Donald Trump urged Cuba on Sunday to “make a deal” or face consequences, warning that the flow of Venezuelan oil and money to Havana would now stop.In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that most of the Cubans are dead from last week’s US attacks and added that Venezuela now has the United States so they don’t need protection anymore. “Cuba lived, for many years, on large amounts of OIL and MONEY from Venezuela. In return, Cuba provided “Security Services” for the last two Venezuelan dictators, BUT NOT ANYMORE! Most of those Cubans are DEAD from last weeks U.S.A. attack, and Venezuela doesn’t need protection anymore from the thugs and extortionists who held them hostage for so many years,” he said in the social media. “Venezuela now has the United States of America, the most powerful military in the World (by far!), to protect them, and protect them we will. THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA – ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT,” he added. On Truth social, Trump seem to drop a lot of hints what he wanted from Cuba. In one of the post, a person suggested making Rubio as the president of Cuba and Trump replied, “sounds good to me.”

Another post he reshared, “For the sake of my 78 year old Mother (very MAGA) that migrated from Cuba in 1960 when she was 13 yeas old it would be an indescribable dream for this to happen.”

Earlier, Trump suggested that military action against Cuba may not be necessary, claiming the country is already on the verge of collapse.“I don’t think we need any action,” Trump said. “It looks like it’s going down.”“I don’t know if they’re going to hold out, but Cuba now has no income,” he added. “They got all their income from Venezuela, from the Venezuelan oil.”Even, secretary of state Marco Rubio had struck a tougher note. Asked on NBC’s Meet the Press whether Cuba was the administration’s “next target,” Rubio said, “The Cuban government is a huge problem.”Pressed again, he added: “They are in a lot of trouble, yes.”Rubio accused Cuba of “propping up” Maduro’s government and supporting its internal security apparatus, including personal bodyguards.
